MY PERSONAL APPROACH TO COUNSELLING My approach to clients is based very significantly on the therapeutic relationship. My initial training was in client centred and psychodynamic approaches and I have subsequently studied many different aspects of counselling. I now work with clients using an integrative approach which respects each individual's particular needs. Professional Qualifications I have been a qualified counsellor/psychotherapist since 1999 when I gained a Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling from the University of Hertfordshire. Since 2001 I have been an Accredited Member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy ( BACP)whose Code of Ethics I adhere to. I am on the UK Register of Psychotherapists. Areas of Specialism Alongside my psychotherapy practice I am a EFT practitioner. Emotional Freedom Technique (or 'acupuncture without needles') is a highly successful innovative method which enables clients to reduce or eliminate the intensity of their negative feelings, whether these are emotional or physical.
