ABOUT COUNSELLING For many people counselling is something they only hear about at the doctor's surgery. It can seem a daunting and frightening thing to do, but once you make the decision to have some sessions you have made the first step towards improving your life. WHAT IS COUNSELLING? Counselling sessions are a time when you can talk freely about aspects of your life in a way that is often not possible with friends or family
Sessions take place in a safe and private room where you can talk about yourself and any concerns or difficulties in your life.
In counselling advice is rarely given, but you will find support, acceptance and respect.
Counselling can take place over a short period (usually 6 to 12 weeks) or for a longer term.
